10th Annual Golf Tournament

For the safety and consideration of all our tournament participants LCT has rescheduled the annual golf tournament to Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Chippanee Country Club in Bristol CT. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with tee off at 12:30 p.m.

LCT is working closely with the Chippanee staff to follow the CDC and state recommended safety protocols during the event. This is primarily an outdoor event and measures will be taken to ensure proper disinfecting as well as distancing throughout the day. Participants will be asked to wear masks when in close proximity to others i.e. during registration, inside the clubhouse, pro shop, bar and dining areas. There will be assigned seating and sit down dinners to further observe distancing. Several other safety protocols will be taken throughout the event to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Any questions regarding the days events can be emailed to LCT Executive Director, Jeffrey Dunn:
[email protected]

The annual fundraiser includes all the contest entry fees, a door prize (must be present to win), lunch, pre-dinner cocktail hour, dinner, complimentary beer, wine, snacks and other beverages on the course.

The day concludes with an exciting ‘socially distanced’ raffle and awards ceremony. All prizes valued at $50 or more.

Register and pay by Friday, July 17th to qualify for an early registrant prize.

Pricing:

  • Foursome: $700
  • Single Golfer: $175

The 2020 Halo Awards

Seven Angels Theatre will present the 17th Annual Halo High School Theatre Awards in June but with a little twist, they will be seen for three nights on Youtube! The awards that celebrate the best in high school theatre will be on June 23, 24 and 25. Each night at 7 PM, awards will be presented to a different group of schools. Plus, everyone can watch from the comfort of their own home. Pop some popcorn, login and have a great time! It’s a great show for the whole family. The awards honor high school students’ achievements in all aspects of theatre. Awards are given in numerous categories including: Best Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Performance by the Cast in an Ensemble Production, Best Comic Actor and Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Student Choreographer, plus categories for lighting, design, stage management, special effects, and many more.
This year over 81 high schools from across the state of Connecticut will be participating! Because of the shortened school year, not all musicals and plays were performed. Some good news though, Michelle Gotay will be returning as host this year.
It’s a big process to select the best. Judges have been attending performances throughout the year and have been submitting evaluations for each show. The judges then meet in the spring to deliberate the nominees and the winners, which culminates in three nights of awards. A list of the nominations can be found at SevenAngelsTheatre.org. Plan on attending this fantastic show! There will be some great guests honoring the students too. Check our facebook page or website for the link to the awards in the next few weeks.
Sponsoring the awards this year will be Ion Bank Foundation, Lions Club of Waterbury and Connecticut Office of the Arts.
