Saturday Showcase ~ Little Bits

Dec. 5, 2020

Take a miniature gallery tour of tiny masterpieces. At only 3”, these miniature canvases still pack a punch. Fine art for even the smallest of spaces. Many of you are familiar with my big, oversized canvas work but I do love to work on little pieces as well. Join me and some special studio guests for a virtual tour of available work and commissioned pieces.

Four-Week Stained Glass – Tuesday Nights

Oct 20, 27; Nov 3, 10: 6-8:30pm

In this four-week session, students will design and create their own stained glass panel. Proper pattern design layout, glass selection, cutting, grinding for proper fit, foiling, soldering, framing, polish and patina will all be covered in this course. Students should be prepared the first day of class with an idea or design in mind. Please feel free to call the studio to discuss project ideas if you would like, or when you sign up.

Some projects, depending on size, will take longer than 4 weeks. Any extra classes needed to complete your project will be pro-rated onto the next course session. Please let your instructor know if you intend on returning for multiple sessions, or would like to complete your project within the four weeks. This will help your instructor guide you in your pattern design on the first class in order to create something that can be successfully completed within the four week time frame. Many students enjoy coming to class and continue to return week after week working on new projects. Make-ups can be arranged with your instructor.

Students are required to bring their own mask and gloves to keep everyone safe. Each student will have their own working space and grinder, as well as their own set of tools which will be disinfected before and after each class. If it would make you feel more comfortable, we offer a Beginner Tool Kit available in our retail store, if you would like to have your own set of tools that is not shared between classes. All students should have the following materials on the first day of class:

Gloves (Latex or Nitrile)
Mask (To be work at all times)
Paper Towels or rags
Black and silver Sharpie marker
Pencils
Apron (If desired)
Glue Stick
Masking tape
Safety Glasses

These are things we have typically had for communal use in the studio, however we ask that you bring your own in order to keep everybody safe.
