Virtual Piano Recital featuring Andrew Armstrong
An event every day that begins at 8:00 AM, repeating until December 31, 2020
Woodbury, CT: Andrew Armstrong to perform in Debut Concert on the Woodbury-Bethlehem Community Music Foundation’s new Grand Piano
Acclaimed pianist Andrew Armstrong is the first performer to debut the Yamaha Grand Piano, newly acquired by the Woodbury-Bethlehem Community Music Foundation (WBCMF.) His piano concert was filmed live at the First Congregational Church of Woodbury on December 7, and will be available in virtual format beginning December 19th, 2020. Interested music lovers will be asked to visit the Foundation’s website www.wbcmusicfoundation.org, in order to access this virtual concert.
Andrew Armstrong has brought his passionate expression and dazzling technique for piano to many areas across the world, including Asia, Europe, Latin America, Canada, and many venues within the United States. He has performed with such masters as Itzhak Perlman, Peter Oundjian, Stefan Sanderling and Stanislaw Skrowaczewski and has appeared in solo recitals in many chamber music concerts throughout the land. It is with great pleasure that the WBCMF welcomes Andrew Armstrong back to the Woodbury Bethlehem community for this debut performance on their new Grand Piano.
Woodbury Bethlehem Community Music Foundation is in its fifteenth year as a non-profit community group with the goal of providing quality, live music opportunities to their community. WBCMF is constantly considering ways to foster a love of music to people of all ages. During these difficult months of the Covid pandemic, gathering in large groups has been discouraged. Live music is not always available. This virtual concert will bring the glorious sound of live piano music right into the comfort of your own living room. Having purchased this new piano in October, with the help of a grant from Thomaston Savings Bank, WBCMF hopes that this premier concert will be the first of many to come as they initiate their Chamber Concert Series next year!
