The Town Hall Women’s Portraits Project Art Show and Panel Discussion
A celebration of the Women’s Suffrage Movement including a permanent portrait installation of 21 Portrait Artists honoring the current Town Hall’s women in a powerful portrayal of how far we’ve come and how much farther there is to go.
Portraits by ShawnaLee created an oil painting of the lovely Amy Escribano, the secretary to First Selectman Rudy Marconi, on a birch panel that is part of a group of paintings. Amy’s portrait shows her natural beauty as she is tethered to old technology and ways while looking up into the light of a new day with determination as she sets her gaze on new ways.
To see the power of the paintings in person, visit the Ridgefield Town Hall during business hours.
You are invited to an Online Panel Discussion with Suzanne Benton and participating artists including ShawnaLee on May 18th 6:30-7:30. Free via Zoom.
