An event every 2 days that begins at 9:30 AM, repeating until April 12, 2022
This event begins at Poet’s Circle at NVCC, then moves to the Plaza, and on to the 5th Floor walkway. Poems will be shared on the ICA Festival theme of Revolt, Revive, Renew. Attendees may join this event at any time during our journey. While on the 5th Floor, poems and readings will be shared by students, faculty, and staff while standing in front of the flag of their nation.
This moving event will culminate in L501, featuring an art installation and readings from Prof. Steven Parlato, creator of a “Black Lives Matter” series of collages and poems honoring lives we have lost. Note: Prof. Parlato’s paintings and poems are displayed in L501, open to viewers April 11-14, from 9:30 am – 1:45 pm.
