Object Lessons Writing Class

Fridays, February 21, 28, March 6, 13, 20, 27
12 noon – 1:30 pm
Objects from our life, past or present, can hold memories and associations that yield rich stories. When we view them from this perspective, they can reveal meaning that enriches our life and tells a story. In this class, students will choose objects that hold meaning for them and develop a piece of creative writing (personal essay/short story/poetry) that details this meaning in a cohesive way. By the end of the class, students will complete the first draft of their piece. This theme ties into our 2020 Threads theme of “Gone, but Not Forgotten.” (or whatever we are referring to it as now.)
The fee for this six-week workshop is $135 for non-Thread Members and $100 for Thread Members. Class size is limited to 8 students.
