Introduction to Precision Quilting
An event every week that begins at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, repeating until April 7, 2020

5:30 pm – 8 pm
This 3-week class is for students who would like to learn how to quilt. New techniques and patterns will continually be introduced monthly. Students will learn about fabrics and specialty threads needed for a quilt. Students will learn how to cut fabrics, read quilt patterns, various types of needles and the threads used for quilting. Students are required to bring their own sewing machines. The instructor will teach each students how to use their own machines for quilting.
1st class – students will make a simple pot holder – basic techniques & piecing. Students will be instructed on how to purchase fabrics and notions needed for the 2nd class – a wall hanging.
2nd class – Students will bring their purchased fabrics and notions to class and learn to cut the fabric and begin the piecing process for their wall hanging. The project can be completed at home and ready to bring back the following month.
3rd class – students will learn how to machine quilt and bind their wall hanging.
Classes will be ongoing the first and second Tuesdays of each month. Students will begin to work independently. Beginning students will always be welcome during the independent class.
The fee for the 3-week class is $145 which includes the potholder kit.
