Out For Art
The Arts & Culture Collaborative of the Waterbury Region presents Out for Art events periodically throughout the year. It is a forum where musicians, dancers, poets, singers, visual artists and actors can share with each other and the community at large.
The format typically includes time for refreshments, networking, visual and performance showcases and open discussion between the audience and artists. This is our chance to highlight works and performances, network with fellow artists, learn more about the ACC and have fun!
Out for Art is held in various locations. The ACC can also bring Out for Art to your business or facility to add a new dimension to your networking or special event.
Participate in Our Next Out for Art Event on Oct. 2, 2010
The Arts & Culture Collaborative will present an Out for Art event in
conjunction with Downtown Draw on Saturday, Oct. 2. The 6th annual chalk
drawing competition will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Waterbury
Green. Out for Art will immediately follow from 1 to 4 p.m. on Bank
Street, with some performances starting during the Draw around 11 a.m.
We are inviting visual and performing artists as well as crafters to participate.
Although details are being finalized, we plan to use the Howland Hughes building
and other Bank Street buildings to display artwork and showcase
performances, both indoors and outside. Food vendors will be present.
We hope to attract the audience from Downtown Draw as well as the general public.
Out for Art is typically reserved for ACC members, so if you are not a member,
please visit our Membership Page about the nominal fee that would open
opportunities for you throughout the year.
