Arts Hero Honored

The Arts & Culture Collaborative recently honored its first Arts Hero, Lynnette Letsky Piombo, at the ACC’s annual meeting and social on March 27. The Arts Hero Award recognizes an individual whose work on behalf of the arts at the grass-roots level has made a significant impact. Lynnette has been an active, long-time volunteer and advocate in the Waterbury arts community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Mattatuck Museum, the Development Committee of the Palace Theater, the Public Art Committee for the City of Waterbury, and the Design Committee for Main Street Waterbury. Lynnette has been instrumental in initiatives ranging from the creation and installation of whimsical bike racks in downtown Waterbury to the coordination of large public art projects like the “Cool Waters” mosaic and the recent Greetings Tour mural. The Arts Hero award was created in conjunction with the CT Office of the Arts. Lynnette was also recognized at CT Arts Day on March 2 at the State Capitol.

ACC Administrator Diane Ploch presents a certificate of recognition to 2017 Arts Hero Lynnette Letsky Piombo.
